Dear Friends,
Welcome to this website for Red Skelton. As the Red
Skelton Museum and Education Center in Vincennes, Indiana moves forward, we
are getting closer to reaching our goals for a fine memorial to the comic
genius and life-work of an outstanding man, my late husband.
Red dedicated his life to making people laugh and
thus lightening their hearts. This museum will further those efforts and
will help Red live on as an American icon, patriot, Hoosier, great artist
and humanitarian.

Museum for Our Time
In times of crisis, it is
vital for both individuals and society to feel the rejuvenating effects
of clean, wholesome humor as was and still is Red Skelton’s hallmark.
People can literally feel the positive effects of humor and laughter. It
can quickly lighten a mood, reduce stress and just lift our spirits and
make us happy.
Completing Red's Museum is up to people just like you and me.
There is no funding coming from the government or commercial resources.
That's why we are calling this program "By the People and For the
People."
Our goal is to offer citizens an "Ownership through Donorship." No
matter how big or how small your donation, it's all part of knowing that
you have helped build the Red Skelton Museum; offering education and
inspiration for all people for all times to come.
When you make a donation, you will be recognized at an ownership
ceremony in June, 2009.
